Today is our 11th wedding
anniversary.
Want to see what we
looked like that day?

Keith was 24, I was 27.
If I had to do over, I
might not have worn such a traditional dress. The deal is, it was
free--my friend
Kristin gave it to me, figuring, well, she'd never wear
it again! It turned out it wasn't really free--between having it
altered and cleaned, it cost me several hundred dollars! Still, I liked
the idea of a recycled wedding dress. People who know me know that
I like nothing better than good vintage clothes!
It was a great day.
Despite all the stress, it all came together and pretty much went off
without a hitch. Everyone had a good time.
We had game pieces on the
cake, made by Lee:

And also on the invitation, drawn by
Andy:

They were originally
stuffed Icehouse pieces that Andy and Kristin were selling around the
time Keith and I started going out. We were too shy to ask each
other out directly--so we decided that our stuffed icehouse pieces,
Indigo and Cobalt, would go on a date. Andy later made them
characters in Iceland. Here, we try to explain the deal to our
guests.

Looking at these photos,
one thought keeps running through my head. . .
WE SURE HAD A LOT OF HAIR
BACK THEN!! Just look at it! Geez!
